Connect to a PatchCap through the ‘Add Medication’ pop-up in the ‘Medications’ tab. Select the circular button at the top-center of the ‘Add Medication’ modal. Using the camera popup, take a picture of the QR code on the back of your PatchCap. If the cap doesn’t pair, refer to the next question.
First, open your settings on your smart device to ensure that bluetooth is turned on. Next, make sure that you have allowed PatchRx access to your location (this is needed in order for bluetooth to function properly). Then, look at the medication on your dashboard which is associated with that PatchCap and make sure that there is a symbol showing that it is connected.
The PatchCap uses a proprietary combination of hardware components to know when the cap has been removed from the bottle. When the bottle is opened, it registers that a correct dosage has been taken. In order to work properly, the PatchCap should always be inside the pill bottle and the pill bottle cap must be placed back on the bottle after each dose.
The PatchCap is guaranteed to work for at least 90 days. Depending on usage, the PatchCap can work up to 6 months.
Select the center navigation bar item labeled ‘Medications’. In the top right of your screen, select the ‘+’ button.

Adherence measures whether someone is taking their medication as prescribed. For example, if a medication is prescribed so that one pill is to be taken at 8 am and one pill at 8 pm everyday then a perfectly adherent person will take that medication at 8 am and 8 pm until the therapy is finished or until the next refill is due. A perfectly adherent individual also goes to get their next refill on the date outlined on their prescription and medication label found on the pill bottle. As your adherence improves, you’re likely to incur less unnecessary healthcare costs and are likelier to see more long-term improvements in your health.
Our PatchCaps use Bluetooth technology, which requires location to be enabled in order to interface properly with current smartphones.

Buddies are your friends and family members with whom you can connect via our platform. The point of syncing up with Buddies is to encourage a more community-centric approach to your health and help monitor one another as needed.
Select the third navigation bar item labeled ‘Buddies.’ In the top right of your screen, select the ‘+’ button. In the text box, manually enter a phone number or select from your contacts. After accepting a Buddy request, you’ll be prompted to select if you’d like that Buddy to be able to view your adherence history and current adherence of one, multiple, or all medications that you take. You can also opt to receive notifications when a Buddy has missed a dose, and vice versa.
Go to your ‘Buddies’ tab and select your Buddy’s profile. You can then see their daily schedule for any medications they have previously approved for your viewing. You can select the current date to reveal a drop down calendar for that day’s adherence specifically.
Go to your ‘Buddies’ tab and select your Buddy’s profile. In the top right, the Settings button will allow you to modify which medications you Buddy can and cannot see, edit your notification settings, and remove Buddies from your list.
